Practical example
Build a report packet
- Add your cover PDF, report PDF, and appendix PDF.
- Use the file arrows to put the cover first and the appendix last.
- Merge once, then open the downloaded copy rather than continuing to inspect a source file.
A 1-page cover, 6-page report, and 2-page appendix should produce 9 pages. Page 2 should be the report's first page.
Capabilities and limits
- This is a page-combining workflow, not a guarantee that bookmarks, portfolios, attachments, form behavior, or digital signatures will survive unchanged.
- Large image-heavy inputs can exceed browser memory even when their file count is small.
When the result is unexpected
The pages are in the wrong order
Check file order, not alphabetical filename order. Use Organize to move individual pages inside the merged result.
The merged file is still large
Combining files is not compression. Verify the merge first, then make a separate compressed copy if visual quality allows.
Check the downloaded file
Compare the output page count with the sum of the inputs and inspect every boundary between files. Keep the originals until forms and any important annotations have been checked.
