The tool does not accept my file

Most tools accept PDF files. JPG to PDF accepts JPG, JPEG, and PNG. Renaming an extension does not convert a file. If a PDF is encrypted, use Unlock PDF only when you know the password and have authorization. A corrupt or incomplete download may need to be obtained again from its source.

Processing is slow or the tab stops responding

Work happens on your device. Page dimensions, scan resolution, and available browser memory matter as well as file size. Keep the tab open, close unnecessary memory-heavy tabs, and try a small page range or extract. Do not repeatedly start the same large task while the first is still running. OCR and translation can also need supporting downloads on first use.

Before refreshing the page, save any completed result. Most tool sessions are temporary; only the PDF editor has local draft recovery.

OCR, Word, or Excel output is missing text

Try selecting a sentence in the original. An image-only PDF needs recognition before text can be extracted. OCR recognizes English only. It can misread handwritten, blurry, rotated, or complex text. Word and Excel conversion are text extraction workflows, not exact layout or table reconstruction.

A download is not the format I expected

PDF to JPG produces one JPG for one page and a ZIP for multiple pages. PDF to Word creates DOCX; PDF to Excel creates XLSX. Other tools create PDF copies. Use your device’s file manager to find the downloaded file and a compatible reader to open it.

The compressed PDF is still large

Some text-based files are already efficient. Estimated sizes are projections, and a candidate may be rejected if it is larger than the original. Follow the compression comparison guide and inspect fine print before choosing a stronger level.

The editor offers to restore a draft

The editor stores a recovery draft in this browser when storage is available. Restore it only if it is yours. Delete draft or Clear local data removes the saved editor draft; this does not delete files from Downloads. Drafts expire after seven days and may be unavailable in private browsing or when storage is full.

Keep a useful record of a problem

Try the practice PDFs first. If the issue remains, note the tool name, browser, device, page count, approximate size, exact steps, and error message. This helps you compare results when trying another file or browser. Do not include private document contents or passwords in a screenshot.

Review before relying on an output

Always keep the source. Check page count, order, small text, forms, and any changed annotations. Editing can invalidate existing digital signatures. A successful download confirms a file was produced, not that its content is appropriate for every use.
