Document processing

Ready PDF tools process the document content inside your web browser. We do not intentionally upload your selected PDF or image files to a FreePDFchanger document-processing server. Your browser may download application code, fonts, workers, or language models needed to run a selected tool.

Information stored on your device

FreePDFchanger uses local storage to remember your language preference. Most tools hold selected files temporarily in the browser while the page is open. Downloaded results remain on your device under your control.

PDF editor recovery drafts

The PDF editor can save the source PDF, added objects and images, editing history, and workspace settings in IndexedDB in this browser after a short idle period. This is a local recovery copy, not cloud storage. On a shared device, another person using the same browser profile may be able to restore it.

Drafts older than seven days are treated as expired and deleted when the editor next checks stored drafts. Expiry is not a background deletion service when the website is closed. Use Delete draft or Clear local data in the editor to remove the saved draft immediately, or clear the site’s data in your browser settings. These controls do not delete original or downloaded files from your device.

If storage is unavailable or full, the editor may continue without reliable draft recovery and will notify you. Save a downloaded copy of important work; browser storage is not a backup guarantee.

Hosting and security logs

Our hosting and security provider may process ordinary request data such as IP address, device and browser information, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose reliability issues.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising scripts and ad slots are currently disabled. The site retains a public publisher identification tag and ads.txt file for ownership verification; these are not advertising trackers. If Google advertising is enabled later, this policy and the required consent controls will be updated before ads are introduced. Third-party resources

Some advanced tools may download libraries or machine-learning models from third-party content delivery networks. These providers can receive normal network request information, but the selected document is processed in the browser by the tool.

Children’s privacy

FreePDFchanger is a general document utility and is not directed to children under the age required for independent consent in their location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service, hosting, analytics, or advertising setup changes. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.

Help and privacy controls

No contact form or public support email is currently offered. The Help page explains common tool issues. To remove an editor recovery draft, use Clear local data in the editor or clear this website’s storage in your browser settings. Keep passwords, private PDFs, and signature images on devices you control.
